Statement

David White lives in a cabin on the outskirts of a small town in Yorkshire. Having achieved his black belt in fine art and his gun licence,
David continues to paint, sat on his porch, playing his banjo, watching the woods, drinking moonshine and eating fried chicken...YEEHAA!!

2002 Worked with young adults from Scalby School, in association with the Festival Of Youth Arts, to produce stills for inclusion in their film entitled 'Addixtion'
2002 Designed and constructed the float for Scarborough Childminding Association which won first prize in the Scarborough Carnival in this year

2003 Worked with Festival   Of Youth Arts in association with Scarborough Urban Renaissance Project, to run a visual arts workshop allowing young adults to express their aspirations about the town they live in
2003 Worked with Festival Of Youth Arts in association with Scarborough Urban Renaissance Project, whilst running a visual arts workshop, allow   children to explore painting and drawing under the theme of 'Ways to make your town a nicer place to live'
2003 Worked with Community Education Service on Family Learning Week, running a workshop at Friarage School. Working with parents and their children to promote drawing as a tool for learning, personal development and parent/child bonding

2004 Worked with Childhaven Nursery School to produce two large paintings for Sure Start. Encouraging children to explore creative mark-making techniques and colour making through 'Australian Aboriginal Art'.

2005 Exhibited drawings at Ferens Gallery, Hull
2005 Winner of 2005 PRS Foundation Atom Awards

2006 Digital images displayed at New Tavern Multi-media event, North Yorkshire
2006 Worked with Braeburn Infant and Nursery children in a workshop to encourage creative mark making and giving them the experience of working on a large painting. Painting now on display at Braeburn Infant and Nursery School, Scarborough.
